Examination with ABE
Before the Examination
There is no limit to the number of subjects candidates may enter for, but it is recommended that you sit no more than five subjects at one session. Do not enter for subjects whose dates clash, as the timetable cannot be rescheduled.
A notification slip will be sent to all candidates approximately two weeks before the examinations. You must take this notification slip and identification to every examination you sit.

A notification slip will be sent to all candidates approximately two weeks before the examinations.
If you do not receive your notification slip you can print one from the student area or request a copy from the ABE office at least one week before the examinations.
Closing Dates
The June 2007 exams are now finished.
The December 2007 exams will take place on Monday 3rd December - Friday 7th December (inclusive).
Registration as a new student member: Friday 7th September 2007
Examination Entry closing date: Friday 5th October 2007
Entries received AFTER 5th October 2007 will incur an additional late fee of 10 per subject.
The FINAL closing date for accepting entries for the December 2007 examinations is: FRIDAY 12th OCTOBER 2007.

Business Management Our new programme is a professional, QCA-accredited qualification to prepare you for a career in business, or to give you advanced entry onto professional qualifications and university degrees in the UK and other countries. The programme covers the theoretical issues of business and management and offers many practical skills useful to potential employers.
Business Information Systems Companies now seek business professionals who are comfortable using a range of IT applications, and can communicate confidently with their IT colleagues. Holders of our Business Information Systems qualifications have a firm grounding in key IT and business skills that enable them to build bridges between technology and business practice.
Human Resource Management: The programme reflects the growing importance that organisations attach to this function. At present demand for trained and qualified HR professionals is outstripping supply.
Students who complete ABEs programme will find their HRM skills fit for a professional setting, as well as the final stages of a degree.
Financial Management Around the world financial best practice is increasingly regulated, and ABE's new Financial Management programme provides students with the knowledge needed to communicate effectively in a business and financial context.
We will examine the Certificate level from December 2007; the Diploma level from June 2008 and the Advanced Diploma level from December 2008.
Students completing the programme will have the opportunity to progress to the final stages of a degree as well as enhanced career prospects.
Marketing Programme This new programme allows you to specialise in a dynamic and creative area that can have a great impact on the bottom line of a company.
We will examine the Certificate level from June 2007; the Diploma level from December 2007 and the Advanced Diploma level from June 2008.

Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Tourism is the world's largest industry with revenues of over $500 billion. Our qualification links business principles with sector expertise. Students holding this qualification will be confident in applying key business and management concepts in this growing sector.
Entry Requirements
Please refer to the following list of requirements and qualifications as a concise guide to establishing the level of entry onto the ABE programmes.
Certificate
No formal qualifications are required but applicants should demonstrate competence in English by the attainment of one of the following:
British Council - Intermediate Certificate in English/Upper Advanced Certificate in English
LCCI - English for Business (EFB) 1st or 2nd level
Pitman/City and Guilds - English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)/English for Business and Communication
Diploma
Applicants must have obtained one of the following:
ABE Certificate
Two "A" Level passes plus four GCSE passes at Grade A, B or C, two of which must be English and Maths
Overseas qualifications which may be accepted by the Registrar as being equivalent to the above
ABE also welcomes applications from candidates without formal qualifications who have been in appropriate employment for at least two years. A reference letter from employer(s) must accompany such applications
Advanced Diploma
Applicants must have obtained one of the following:
ABE Diploma
A UK Honours Degree or Overseas equivalent
Other recognised qualifications of approved Overseas Institutes of Higher Education
